Albion Design & Fabrication design and manufacture display/queuing systems using barriers and audiovisual support methods at their Sandy site in Bedfordshire. Managing Director, Richard Osborne and Financial Controller, Peter Brown, first thought about installing a new Time & Attendance system during November 2003. Their main aims and objectives were a more flexible working ethic for their employees, better HR management and from a Health and Safety point of view a Fire Roll Call system. They also wanted to improve the existing procedure of Job Costing.

Albion researched what was available in the market and finally decided to buy a Tensor WinTA Lite, Access Lite, Personnel, Fire Roll Call system. “We chose Tensor because it was a very cost effective solution” said Peter Brown. “Tensor have a good name in the industry and their system is a lot easier to use than the competitor systems we looked at” he said. “Their HR software is particularly good.”

Albion have self-installed the new system under guidance from Tensor's engineers. As this is a relatively new installation, Albion have only had the opportunity to use the Tensor Helpdesk once. “We found the service to be very good” remarked Peter. Asked if he would you recommend Tensor to other companies?, Peter Brown said, “Yes I certainly would. It is a particularly cost-effective solution for SME's and easy to use” he said. Finally summing up Tensor in a few words Peter said,“It's efficient, does what we want and enables us to run the business better.”
