PUTTING ON A SHOW WITH TENSOR

In August 2001 KDM were looking for an electronic system, which would compute employee timekeeping and ensure they were compliant with the EEC Working Time Directive regulations. Without a Time & Attendance system it was increasingly difficult to manage the various staff shifts. They also needed a system that would calculate the driver's hours to ensure they complied with the Working Time Directive.

After surveying the market, KDM installed a Tensor Smart Card based WinTA Lite package running on their existing Ethernet network of around 20 warehouses.

Kate Beauchamp says, 'The system makes life easier. Managing people can be complex and the WinTA Lite system simplifies employee timekeeping, absences and ensure compliance with the Working Time regulations.'

'We check daily and weekly exceptions and simply feed this into the payroll system. Tensor have saved time - and therefore money' explained Kate.

Kate says, 'An important factor in choosing Tensor was that it could handle our varied shift patterns. Tensor can manage the varied demands of the job.' 

The IT Manager trained Kate when she joined KDM six months ago. 'I found it simple to use and it's great to have a system that you ask to do more and more; and is flexible enough to do it!' exclaimed Kate. 'I have never used the Tensor Help Desk as we have always been able to work out any problems ourselves. The system has worked from day one,' she concluded.
