Libra Holidays is a Tour Operator for Package Holidays to the Western Mediterranean and pride themselves in providing “peace of mind” for their customers backed by the financial protection administered by the Civil Aviation Authority and ABTA approval. They employ around 100 people at their offices in New Barnet, Hertforshre.
In mid 2004 Managing Director, Matthew Wallace, wanted to replace his manual system of recording staff hours and at the same time provide an HR database for the company. “We looked at systems from MitreFinch, Captor and Tensor and decided on Tensor because they were good value for money” remarked Matthew. He added that the main advantage of Tensor over the other competitors was “Tensor’s Windows based system just looked better! It’s very modular, so we can add Access Control at a later date as well as taking on board their Personnel software”.
A Tensor WinTA Lite and Personnel system was installed in October, 2004. There were no problems with the hardware installation and the only problems with the software were “Questions that the software department easily resolved”.
Libra Holidays attended a training course at the Tensor Training Centre in Hail Weston and the training was “Good, professional and friendly”. They also said “with the knowledge of Microsoft, WinTA Lite is an effortless package to use”.
Matthew described to the Tensor reporter, “we use WinTA Lite as an HR Database, for Time and Attendance and in the future, Access Control. What we like best about Tensor, is that it’s easy to use, easy to understand and very flexible to customers needs”. He also added at the use of Tensor Smart cards were “very easy”.
Libra Holidays also use the Tensor Personnel package. Matthew said of the software “Good and flexible. It’s business orientated and simple to find your way around”.
Libra have had cause to call the Tensor Helpdesk and found them to be “Efficient and Professional”.
Asked to sum up Tensor in a few words, Matthew said “Happy with the system” — and would he recommend Tensor to other companies? - “Yes”.
