Fran Boome, Personnel Manager was in charge of finding a new system. She said, "We wanted a system which would allow us to collate employee timekeeping information from all 4 sites and process it in one payroll system at our head office in Yaxley. We were very impressed the demonstration from Tensor. We had many questions, and they answered them all"
WinTA Enterprise and Tensor Personnel was installed in November 2003. Fran said "We think Tensor is great. What we like most is; the software is user friendly, it's quick and easy to get reports, it has saved us a lot of time. Much of what the Tensor system does automatically we previously did manually as our system could not do it"

BRIGHT FUTURE FOR TENSOR WITH BRITISH OPTICAL Wednesday 28th April 2004

British Optical's Accountant, Alan Clark, was in charge of getting a new Time & Attendance system to replace their old Blick swipe card system. He finally chose Tensor because of price and the stability of the company.  Tensor installed a WinTA Lite system in November 2003 and the system was up and running quickly. Alan said "The Tensor system cost us the same amount as Blick wanted in maintenance!" exclaimed Alan, "Tensor as a company is efficient, reliable and friendly. Their WinTA system is reliable and cost effective" he said.

Tensor Furnishes Dorma Friday 9th April 2004

After looking at several security systems they finally decided to implement a Tensor WinTA system because they liked the speed and ease-of-use of Tensor Smart Cards and felt that Tensor's Smart Cards were "strong and durable".

NEW WORKING TIME RULES FOR FLIGHT CREWS Friday 2nd April 2004

The Civil Aviation Working Time Regulations are law from 13th April 2004 and are the UK's implementation of the European Working Time Directive for Mobile Workers working in the civil aviation sector. The regulations apply to all people employed as crew members on board a civil aircraft flying for the purposes of public transport.

RUSTLER PACKS TENSOR Friday 2nd April 2004

In November 2001 Production Manager, Nick Howard, was charged with overseeing the installation of a new Time & Attendance system. The site previously had a Bodet system but it required an expensive upgrade to ensure it would work again, so the company bought a Tensor WinTA Lite Time & Attendance management system. Nick said, " We did look at another system which in comparison with Tensor was expensive and did not have as many features."

BUDELPACK BOX TENSOR Monday 22nd March 2004

Budelpack were looking for an electronic employee attendance system to replace their existing manual punch card setup. ACAS has produced a guidance document to help employers with the new "sexual orientation anti-discrimination" laws which came into force at the end of 2003. 
Employers need to be aware of the risks to them of possible claims of "harassment in the workplace", an area where the greatest number of claims are likely to arise.

MEP'S VOTE TO SCRAP UK OPT-OUT FROM EU WTD Thursday 12th February 2004

The European Parliament voted yesterday to phase out the UK opt-out from the EU Working Time Directive. This vote is likely to be of concern to all UK companies who have yet to install systems for monitoring the hours worked by their employees and have thus far relied on the UK opt-out.
