ROMTECH Install Tensor Tuesday 31st August 2004

RomTech Ltd are based in Cannock where they offer a range of specialist services that include piling and tunnelling. They had a manual clock card system where they manually calculated employee timekeeping data and entered this into a spreadsheet. Kevin Parker, Group IT Manger, decided to investigate to see what could be done to automate this process. "The system is easy to install, easy to set-up and now its just sits there and quietly does its job! It's exactly the type of system I like!" remarked Kevin, and in conclusion he said "It does exactly what it says on the tin!"

Tensor and the Land Registry Tuesday 3rd August 2004

In 1994 Facilities Manager Howard Green, of the Peterborough office, was in charge of finding as new Time & Attendance system for their 500 strong workforce, some of whom were based in London and lawyers who regularly attended the offices. The new system was to replace a PlanTime system. PlanTime, part of the Securitas group, used a unique set plastic keys which employees put in a lock and turned to log in or out. "The problem with PlanTime was it had moving parts that clogged up or snapped off and was therefore more prone to breakdown," said Howard.

Tensor sponsors Childrens Hospice Friday 23rd July 2004

Tensor were contacted by two executives from Luton Borough Council regarding sponsorship desperately needed for a charity event in aid of the Luton based Keech Cottage Children's Hospice. The two executives, Frank Harrison, 40, and colleague Mike Girle, 52 planned to cycle the 906 miles from Land's End to John O'Groats to raise funds for the hospice.

Maier Use Tensor Friday 25th June 2004

Payroll Manager Tracey Door and Mark Ray were in charge of finding a new Time & Attendance system when the UK part of the Spanish company Maier started up in Burntwood near Walsall. After investigating what was available in the market they elected on Tensor and a WinTA and WinPM system was installed in December 2000. This was further upgraded to a WinTA Enterprise and Personnel Enterprise system in November 2002.

Alan Stubbs, Information Systems Manager, "Although I wasn't involved with the original purchase, the reason for buying Tensor was to replace a manual clocking system which took too long to process the time cards for the 450 strong workforce."

BRIGHT FUTURE FOR TENSOR WITH BRITISH OPTICAL Friday 28th May 2004

Tensor installed a WinTA Lite system in November 2003 and the system was up and running quickly. British Optical have a variety of shifts and WinTA Lite is run by Alan and the wages clerk.
Alan said "We find that using the basic generated reports in WinTA Lite gives us the information we require but we may customise the reports in the future"
Alan also added "Tensor as a company is efficient, reliable and friendly. Their WinTA system is reliable and cost effective"
