Delta Galil Europe Ltd are textile manufacturers supplying high street retailers in the UK, Europe and USA. The group employs approximately 8,000 people and in mid 1998, Mark Moody their Distribution Executive, was looking for a new electronic time recording system to improve upon the existing manual "clunk-click" clocking system they were using at that time.

“We looked at systems from Blick, Sinnell and Tensor” explained Mark, “and we chose Tensor because it was the best system for the price - especially what it could do over it's competitors” he added.

A WinTA T2561 clocking station based system using Tensor Smart Cards, was installed by Tensor in the summer of 1999. No problems were encountered with the installation of the hardware or the software; despite Delta Galil having extensive customisation of the system involving barriers, turnstiles, multiple sites and software modifications.

Cheryl Smith from Delta Galil was “Happy and OK” when she was trained on the use of WinTA at Tensor's Hail Weston Training centre. The company currently uses WinTA for recording employee hours worked, absences and holidays and also for monitoring anyone who is on-site at any given time.

When asked what they liked most about Tensor the answer was “the simplicity” , which is a recommendation in itself for a computer based system! They also remarked that the Tensor Smart Cards were “easy to use”.

Delta Galil Europe have used the Tensor Help Desk and found them “to be very good, and actually related to basics and usage”. The company is looking to expand the Tensor system in the near future.

Asked if they would recommend Tensor to other companies, the answer was “Yes” , and summing up Tensor in a few words, Mark concluded “simple to use system at a reasonable price and value for money, offered in a professional way”.
