Safeclean part of the multinational Valspar Corporation with a 2.25 billion turnover and 8,000 staff worldwide wanted a system for the Time and Attendance and access control for their modern headquarters in Abingdon near Oxford which has around 70 employees.

Jackie Thomas who was project leader looked at three different systems (Tensor, Captor and Mitre finch). After the first demonstration meeting a quote was sent out the same day and the system was installed 3 weeks later. They liked the look of the hardware, the fact that our system used proximity smardcards and the competive quote. They were also impressed with professional look of the company after reading the datasheets, visiting the website and all of the user documentation.

Tensor installed the WinTALite system for them, which include a new T8440 time and attendance reader and two of the small T1481 access control readers. The main clock is located inside the office near the main entrance. The main entrance is controlled by one of the access control scanners; the other is located near the warehouse door. They felt that for Heath and Safety reasons they needed to could control employee's movement into the warehouse area where forklift operate.

IT support manager Matt Bassett said after being trained by tensor to use the system and said he 'found it easy and straightforward to use.' And that he had 'expected something which would be more complicated to use.'
