Océ install Tensor


Océ have installed a Tensor Access Control and Time & Attendance system at their new prestigious UK head office in Brentwood, Essex. The new HQ houses around 250 employees including head office personnel and sales who service the 8 other Océ sites around the country.

Personnel Director, Graham Dowling, was in charge of finding a system which would not only control access throughout their head office but would also record employee timekeeping.

After reviewing several different systems, Graham chose Tensor’s WinTA Enterprise as he felt that the tensor was more flexible than other systems and it could be extended to cover all employees at the other UK sites. Graham said
The Tensor system was the most flexible and robust of those we reviewed and did all that we wanted in terms of access control and employee time keeping.

Tensor installed the system in April, 2003 using Océ’s existing Ethernet network. The system comprises five T8440 clocking stations and around 17 access control scanners within the multi-story building, including a Smart Card barrier to provide better security for the staff car park.
