Simplified Time and Attendance payroll means time and money saved

Management and union representatives at the University of Leeds thrashed out an interim deal on avoiding redundancies, with a result that strikes over job cuts were averted. The UCU (University and College Union) union was previously threatening a one-day strike but last-gasp talks led to a promise of a ‘groundbreaking’ process to manage organisational change. A Leeds spokesperson said: “The process – which is subject to negotiation with the other two campus unions – is intended to reinforce collegiality and the engagement of staff,” adding that it will “promote job security, avoid redundancy and manage change.”

Using a Tensor Time and Attendance clocking system will help secure jobs in this difficult economic climate since it makes efficiency savings on staff working hours. The system will simplify the jobs of your payroll, enabling time saved and consequently money to be saved. The software, which has a familiar Windows™ interface, grants quick and easy access to information. An Exception view quickly identifies areas where the normal working pattern has not been followed; while up to nine reason codes can also be stored in the clocking station to allow clocking out for configurable reasons.
