Description

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced full-time Accounts Clerk to work within the Accounts department at our HQ in Hail Weston, near St Neots. We are seeking an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk or an Accounts Clerk who is looking to progress their career and who wish to join an expanding and innovative organisation.

Responsibilities

You will be reporting to the Financial Controller. Your main responsibilities will include,

  • Credit control, chasing customers for payment
  • Customer account reconciliation
  • Dealing with customer queries
  • Receiving purchase invoices/credit notes & checking against purchase orders
  • Inputting purchase ledger invoices into the in-house accounting system
  • Dealing with internal & external purchase ledger invoicing queries in a timely manner
  • Reconcile supplier statements – Creating, chasing in & processing customer maintenance agreements
  • Submitting annual returns and dormant accounts
  • Other adhoc accounts functions as necessary

Full training will be provided.

Qualifications

You will be bright, sharp, self-motivated, dedicated hardworking clerical or administration skilled person who has the previous experience required to conduct this role. Being flexible and able to multitask is a must in our ever-developing company.
You need to have some current ability in the following areas,

  • Credit control and dealing with customers
  • Experience in working to deadlines and familiar in working within a busy, fast paced office environment
  • Be able to work under your own initiative
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Excellent communication skills, numeracy and attention to detail
  • Good organisational skills, reliability and time management
Job Benefits

This is a great opportunity to make a difference and develop your accounting skills within our Accounts team, working Monday to Friday with 1 hour for lunch. Salary is £18,000 to £21,000 dependent upon experience. A private pension scheme is also available.
