Position: Electronics Manufacture Stock Controller

Job Description

Reporting to the Stores Manager, the Stock Controller will be working closely with the Stores Manager to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the department.

The role will include booking goods in, checking of stock levels and advising when items are getting low, kitting of parts for the production department, and kitting equipment for despatch to customers.

This is a challenging but rewarding position that would suit a person who can work to time scales and to good accuracy. As there is some manual handling involved, the candidate must be physically fit and dexterous.

The Candidate

The candidate will need to be numerate, literate, manually dexterous, physically fit, methodical, IT literate, and with an eye to detail. A counterbalance forklift truck licence would be advantageous.

The candidate will be expected to:

• Book Goods in and out
• Pick from a list of parts, equipment for dispatch to customers
• Use the company’s stock control systems
• Have an understanding of stock control measures and stock rotation
• Liaise with other departments to meet their equipment requirements
• Work to a high standard and meet specific time constrains
• Perform other store related duties as and when required
• Operate a counter balance forklift (training will be given if required)

Circa £26,000 per year depending on age and experience. A workplace pension is available
