Description

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Software Developer to join our existing 8-person flexible team. The successful candidate will need to have at least 2 years commercial experience writing cloud applications, and will be working primarily on our new cloud version of Tensor.NET.

Tensor plc is a world-class medium sized company who design and manufacture Smart Card and Biometric based Time & Attendance, Access Control, security and control products. We have developed a number of “world first’s” and are recognised as a leader in our field. Based at our offices near St.Neots, Cambridgeshire, this is a fantastic opportunity for a talented Software Developer to join an existing development team.

Responsibilities
  • Designing, developing and coding new features, applications, upgrades and bug fixes to high quality standards and customer expectations
  • Assessing and understanding user requirements and associated coding tasks
  • Documentation of new features
  • Designing and coding high-quality, readable and maintainable unit tests to ensure maintainability, confidence and testability of changes
  • Taking part in code reviews and collaborate with other developers
  • Proactively grow your professional capabilities and those of the team
Qualifications
  • Degree or equivalent experience and qualifications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Cloud (Azure) experience
  • JavaScript, HTML, CSS
  • Angular / React
  • SQL / T-SQL
  • Scrum and DevOps understanding
  • TDD or BDD and Unit Testing
  • General knowledge of .NET Core
  • Distributed systems knowledge (i.e. micro services)
