Reporting to the Stores Manager, the Stores Assistant will be working closely with the Stores manager to ensure the smooth day to day running of this busy department. The role will include checking of goods inwards, kitting equipment for despatch to customers, checking of stock levels and advising when items are getting low and kitting of parts for the production department. This is a challenging but rewarding position that would suit a person who can work to time scales and to good accuracy. As there is some manual handling involved the candidate must be physically able and dexterous.

The candidate will need to be numerate, literate, manually dexterous, physically able, methodical, IT literate and with an eye for detail.
The candidate will be expected to:
- Book Goods in and out.
- Pick, from a list of parts, equipment for despatch to customers.
- Use the company’s stock control systems.
- Have an understanding of stock control measures and stock rotation.
- Liaise with other departments to meet their equipment requirements.
- Work to a high standard and meet specific time constraints.
- Perform other stores related duties as and when required.

Salary is £15,000 to £20,000 per year depending on age and experience. A workplace pension is available.
