Despite the current looming economic uncertainties, up to half of British workers are keen for a change of workplace during September, a recent market research report has been able to suggest.
The research by cloud-based website development platform Wix suggests that 1 in 3 British workers plan to set up their own businesses online. Of those surveyed, 69% of Brits dread returning to work, with 54% of respondents thinking they would be happier working for themselves. Also 42% desire more flexible working hours and 27% of Brits dream of location independence.
Another interesting bit of information revealed by the fresh research is that low morale in their current roles is yet another major factor driving employees away from their current employers. Being undervalued [39%], underpaid [37%], and poor management [31%] were top reasons Brits are preparing to chuck it in, along with a third of Brits [34%] that have recently quit their job admitting it was because they didn’t like their boss or had issues with colleagues.
