HMP Liverpool is a major prison within the prison service employing over 900 staff. To improve the recording and monitoring of contractors and prison visitors they have installed a Tensor Prison Visitor Identification and Monitoring system that incorporates both photographic and Tensor biometric fingerprint reading capability. The system is called "PrisonPass".

HMP Wellingborough Installs Prison Pass

HMP Wellingborough is a Category C Prison located in Northamptonshire. In January 2004 Head of Operations, Steve Goodliffe, was looking for modern computerised visitor monitoring system to stop visitors of inmates from using a false identification to gain access to the prison.
