The Tensor T34xx Biometric Access Control Readers are compact fingerprint access control devices featuring Suprema’s next generation biometric technology and security platform.

Featuring elegant cases for either indoor (T3464) or outdoor (T3464x) use, these biometric fingerprint readers are designed to meet the requirements of those who want the absolute peace-of-mind, certainty and the assurance that only the right people can gain access to sensitive or dangerous areas on their sites.

The T34xx series of Biometric Fingerprint Readers are compatible with Tensor’s Proximity Card Access Control Readers and Access Controllers, allowing you to mix fingerprint reading and non-fingerprint reading scanners on the same security network. They also feature built-in card readers for enhanced security via 2-factor authentication.

BIOMETRIC FINGERPRINT READERS – SUPERB PERFORMANCE

The Biometric Fingerprint Readers from Tensor feature class-leading CPUs that enhances user experience by offering very high matching speed, high-precision optical sensor and the latest Suprema fingerprint algorithm.

BIOMETRIC READERS – SLEEK AND ELEGANT

Featuring a slee design, the biometric access control readers from Tensor perfectly fit in in narrow spaces and door frames.

Built-in Dual Frequency, Multi-Smartcard Reader

Featuring dual-frequency RFID card technology, the fingerprint readers from Tensor feature both LF(125kHz) and HF(13.56MHz) RFID including all RFID card standards that HID multiCLASS readers support. On top of fingerprint credential, they also support most types of RFID card standards with a single device including MIFARE, HID iCLASS, DESFire, FeliCa, HID Prox, EM and NFC.

Biometric Readers – Fingerprints as Credentials

The Tensor T34xx Readers compare a physical feature of the user against a stored template. The template is not a copy of the original fingerprint, but is instead created using an advanced mathematical algorithm from an enhanced picture of grid lines taken with a fingerprint scanner. The template measures/records a number of feature points – including ridge endings, bifurcations, position and direction – called minutiae.

If the comparison is successful, an ID number associated with that template upon enrolment is then processed by the Tensor access control software (WinAC.NET).  Access levels are all then applied in the same way as any other identifying credential (ex. Smart cards).

Biometric Fingerprint Readers – Advantages

Using a biometric fingerprint reader helps improve overall security on your site. As everyone has a unique fingerprint, replicating this type of credential is very difficult.

Identification using biometric readers also helps establish a solid audit trail to help create accountability. Each and every action or transaction will be recorded and this is clearly documented to reduce the possibility of misuse or fraud.

Biometric fingerprint technology can also help cuts costs such as the issuance of ID cards, and replacing lost or damaged cards.
