ANPR cameras integrated with access control systems will bolster your building site’s security

Vehicle management

ANPR cameras integrated with access control systems and CCTV surveillance can deliver a superior level of security for construction sites and represent the most efficient means of construction site management, experts in the sector believe.

It’s simply not possible for site managers to monitor all activity taking place on busy construction sites, making CCTV one of the most valuable tools for management to have at their disposal. This is particularly important as construction site managers have a legal duty to know who is on their site and where they are at all times, which is especially important in the event of an emergency.

To further secure your site, you could choose a CCTV system that includes an automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) camera.

ANPR systems can be programmed to read vehicle number plates, only granting access to pre-approved vehicles. The cameras are connected to an access control barrier, so that if any unauthorised vehicle attempts to enter the site, security will be alerted to investigate the situation. This allows access to the site to be continuously monitored and can significantly reduce on-site crime.

ANPR systems enable top-level management of construction sites, so that they can be controlled and monitored. This will not only reduce the risk of crime, but can improve internal safety and security procedures.

Tensor integrated ANPR and access control system delivers superior peace of mind for construction sites

Construction site managers who’re looking to improve their site’s security and prevent crime can do so by installing a comprehensive, high-end CCTV surveillance system, fully integrated with a secure and reliable Access Control solution.

Tensor has an extensive experience in both segments (CCTV and Access Control) and we are able to easily offer such an extensive level of functionality for all of our integrated ANPR and access control system.

As they’re built around the same cutting-edge technology platform, Tensor.NET, both the WinAC.NET and WinTA.NET suites support an extensive level of CCTV integration.

Video clips retrieved from CCTV cameras are associated with access control activity are available when CCTV is integrated with Tensor.NET.

The cameras are allocated to location entries created in Tensor.NET, which are then linked to smart card scanners or push buttons in the Hardware Manager. Furthermore, multiple cameras can be allocated to the same location, or multiple locations can be assigned to the same camera and lock sensors are connected directly to the CCTV’s DVR.

As a lock is released, an alarm event triggers the recording of video footage for the event. This footage is then available for playback in Tensor.NET, either by location or as a link in an access control report. Screen displays are provided to report upon access events, including links to play the related video clip.

Additionally, the application allows either live or historic video to be viewed for periods not linked to any specific Access Control event.
