The device supports two distinct functioning modes (either Biometric only or Smart Card & Biometric) for extensive access control options and supports a variety of smart card models, such as HID Prox™, HID iClass™, MiFare™, and DesFire™ cards.
The device is built around an 266MHz 32bit iMX21 ARM926EJ-S MCU, accompanied by a flash memory module (32Mbit standard up to 512Mbit build dependent) and a SDRAM module (64Mbit standard up to 256Mbit build dependent).
The biometrics solution supports Control and Reset functions, and also comes equipped with a range of connectivity options, such as one RS485 interface to clock and External Scanner interface, 1 port with full modem control ( Modem RS232 Interface) and 2 SPI ports (one port is used for scanner interface).
