CCTV digital footage helps to secure convictions

CCTV footage has helped convict a man who assaulted a soldier in a town centre incident. The attack on the veteran, who served in Afghanistan, took place in July 2008 outside the Walkabout bar in Wigan, Greater Manchester. Jurors were shown CCTV footage of Peter Lightfoot pushing Lance Corporal Mark Aspinall's head to the ground and striking him with a police helmet. Originally, police were called to the bar after L/Cpl Aspinall, who was drunk and off-duty, was thrown off the premises.

There is an outstanding range of digital CCTV cameras and recording systems offered by Tensor’s sister company CCTV Surveillance Ltd. Our systems are evidence quality, which is vital is helping the police make convictions from a crime as well as simply deterring it. One of the main features of our CCTV systems, is that they are integrated to work with a standard PC monitor, done through the development of sophisticated CCTV software. Built-in MPEG-4 support provides simultaneous viewing of both JPEG and MPEG-4 video streams, allowing the user to optimize bandwidth usage on constrained networks.
