Construction Skills Certification Scheme provides fresh advice on using CSCS Smartcards

Construction Skills Certification Scheme has recently issued some fresh advice on using the smart technology in CSCS cards, which makes checking and storing cardholders’ information quicker and more accurate.

The CSCSs points out that all cards issued by the core scheme (not affiliated schemes) are smart. This technology makes it easier to check the information held on the card using a card reader, smartphone or tablet device.

CSCS SmartCards can also be used for a wide range of applications including access control, managing on-site training records and time and attendance recording.

Furthermore, using CSCS SmartCards can cuts costs and increases on-site efficiency by enabling companies to eliminate incorrect or fake cards gaining access to site, easily check workers are holding the right card for the job saving supervisor and management time and reducing the number of different cards needed to access sites while also storing evidence of additional training all on one card.
