A proposed cash injection for toilets in a town centre has now been swallowed up by other council budgets. Around £50,000 from an improvement fund is no longer available due to a reorganisation of Bolton Council finances. The council has already considered asking businesses to make their toilets available to the public as well as taking over the maintenance of a closed toilet block. The disused block in Horwich could be reopened and visitors could be charged 20p a time.
