Leicester rugby stadium deploys new turnstile access control system

One of the Leicester’s best-known sporting venues, the rugby stadium on Welford Road, home of the Leicester Tigers, has upgraded its entry systems for the new season, including a new access systems on the turnstiles.

The new access control system will affect all turnstiles and entry points and season ticket holders will have the option to upload a barcode for each game on to their smart phone to gain access, a recent news report has been able to reveal.

According to the news source, supervisors at each block of turnstiles will be able to investigate any problems and determine a course of action, therefore cutting down on the number of supporters needing to visit the ticket office with admission queries.

The new system will also assist corporate guests, especially those who previously have had to distribute tickets to their own guests. Rather than being allocated wristbands or tickets which have to be forwarded with instructions to guests – and recycled if someone is then unable to get to a game – the new system will allow one central contact in your party to log on to web portal and send out an email invitation to guests.
