Limiting by Status and Anti-Passback Features in Tensor Access Control Systems Improve Site Security
The Limiting by Status and Anti-Passback features are designed to prevent misuse of the access control system by preventing cardholders from sharing their smart cards with other people and establishing a specific sequence in which access control cards must be used in order for the system to grant access.
The Limit by Status facility implemented in the WinAC.NET access control software suite will only grant access if the cardholder satisfies the status requirement (i.e. an employee cannot clock into work if they have not scanned the entrance barrier to arrive on site). In addition, PC access can be linked to Tensor’s Access Control system via a Single Sign On module to inhibit PC access if a user has not scanned their smart card to gain access to the building.
The Limiting by Status and Anti-Passback Features have extensive applications, including here internal and external doors, car park barriers, access control turnstiles, etc.
