Managing building contractors’ site access rights is now easier than ever
Construction company GB Building Solutions has managed to secure an impressive £10m contract to build a new care home in Surrey from Signature Senior Lifestyle, a news report reveals.
The future care complex, located in Epsom, will include a mix of 87 studios and one-bedroom suites, as well as a restaurant, lounges, hair salon, bistro and entertainment rooms, and is expected to open in the autumn of 2014.
Martin Smout, chairman and chief executive of GB Group, said: “This appointment reinforces the fact that GB is now recognised as one of the UK’s leading specialist contractors in the care sector.”
Tensor has a very good solution in store for construction companies, such as GB Building Solutions, employing people who hold a CSCS card, namely the CSCS card wizard built right in the Tensor.NET software.
The wizard enables CSCS card holders to use their existing card to clock onto a Tensor Time & Attendance system and/or gain access to a construction site or similar, or use the CSCS card to gain access through turnstiles or car park barriers.
There are three different usage scenarios available for CSCS card owners, each comprising a secure enrolment procedure. During this procedure, specific details are extracted from the card and used for updating the “employee” details stored in the system.
Then, the cardholder can be assigned a series of specific system objects, such as company, site, shift group and department, basically enabling the employer to thoroughly control the level of site access granted to the specific employee.
Furthermore, users can easily create, view and edit various badge designs, which they can populate with the data already stored in the database.
