Forces in other parts of the world are following the lead of a business crime strategy which has won international praise. Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Chamber of Commerce will provide administrative support for a police-involved scheme which advises businesses on fighting crime. Scott Knowles, the Chamber's deputy chief executive, believes the public-private partnership is unique to Notts. He said: "It is absolutely crucial that firms do all they can to protect their premises, equipment, product holdings, staff and customers.”
