Monitoring of Contractor and Visitor Systems can help companies monitor students on work placements
A Monitoring of Contractor and Visitor System (MCVS) can help companies streamline the management of students on work placements who access their sites.
This is particularly important for companies in the construction segment, where enforcing site safety and security for any visitor is of utmost importance.
That’s exactly the case with six West Chesire College construction students, aged between 16 and 19, who have recently started a two-week placement on the project by Santiary Housing which will see the creation of 62 new homes, as well as a community centre, library and new businesses.
The students are part of West Cheshire College’s Ready4Work Programme and are benefitting from a partnership between Sanctuary and Rowlinson Constructions Ltd.
Libbie Stock, youth engagement officer for Chester & District Housing Trust, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for these students. We want to continue to improve the lives of young people in Chester and are developing our partnership with Rowlinson and West Cheshire College by also offering work placements in administration, construction and many more areas.
“We hope these placements provide the students with the foundations to start building a successful career.”
Tensor Monitoring of Contractor and Visitor System (MCVS) can help companies monitor students on work placement
Tensor’s MCVS System replaces an existing paper based system or where no system previously existed at all. MCVS Enterprise is simple to use, easy and quick to install and a good starting point for businesses that want to get a better handle on people who come to their premises. It also provides proof of ‘due diligence’ in demonstrating that the business has a rudimentary system of managing visitors for health & safety purposes.
One of the key features of MCVS Enterprise is the possibility to book appointments in advance and pre-book on-site contractors. As soon as an appointment is made, notification emails are sent to both the visitor and their host, informing them of the appointment’s date, time and location.
Additionally, companies that do not have a front desk Receptionist can use MCVS Enterprise with touch screen technology so visitors with appointments can book themselves in or out.
Furthermore, the MCVS Enterprise system can be easily integrated with a Tensor access control system to limit where visitors can go, and also sports a reporting system so that you can search on previous visits and perform basic analysis and reporting of visitor activity.
