New Tensor.NET Version 3.8.0.54 Includes SSVM Upgrades and SSM Enhancements

FLASH-UPGRADE

At Tensor, we strive to consistently develop new features and functions for our flagship Time and Attendance/Access Control/Visitor Monitoring/HR software solution, the Tensor.NET suite.

Updating to the latest software version will not only help you enjoy the most recent and up-to-date features we’ve developed, but it will also make your Tensor system run faster and smoother. It is also the quickest and easiest way to solve any potential performance issues.

In our latest software release, Tensor.NET version 3.8.0.54, we are adding a few very interesting features pertaining to our SSVM (Self-Service Visitor Management) module. The Tensor.NET version 3.8.0.54 offers two new settings that have been added to User Options for systems using the MCVS module.

These settings can be configured to automatically end the appointments of any visitors who have left site without using the SSVM app to check out. The new Auto Check OUT settings can be found in Visitor Monitoring > General Options.

The Tensor Self-Service Module (SSM)’s functionality has also been enhanced. The first change affects the user interface – the right hand SSM pane, showing clocking, roll call and entitlement status, became hidden when using SSM in a small window or on a tablet browser. In version 3.8.0.54 the user is able to switch between Requests and Dashboard tabbed views when using a small window or tablet.

The second change affects the employee selection functionality – in previous versions, using CTRL + Click was required to select multiple employees in SSM pages. This process was not available when using SSM on a mobile or tablet based browser. In this version clicking or tapping on an employee will add them to the selection without clearing other selections.

Similar to previous upgrades, Tensor.NET version 3.8.0.54 also includes resolutions to a number of issues or improvement suggestions pointed out by our customers. These include, for the SSVM:

1. Working time regulations – this version contains a couple of resolutions to WTR issues:

the WTR breaks report now detects as a “Fail” any employee starting work too early on a rest day after a normal working day. Moreover, new employees did not automatically inherit OU WTR settings, this issue is now resolved.

2. Auto reports – clock card reports now correctly show monetary pay rate details when using the auto report override selection setting.

3. Absence reporting – absence hours were not being shown on absence reports for employees assigned to “Non Clocking” shifts.

4. Auto absence – on public holidays in previous versions, rosters with auto absence configured would insert an absence code overriding the public holiday absence code. This issue is corrected in this version.

5. Bulk amend – the bulk amend facility has been fixed in this version to allow employee labour rates to be updated.

6. Employment archiving – this version contains a fix for HR users trying to archive the employment details of leavers. In previous versions this process could not be completed.

7. Job booking – jobs not ended by clocking out before a period of absence left the employee accumulating job time when absent. This situation is now corrected.

For the SSM, we have implemented a new solution to a problem affecting absence requests – absence requests made by employees working “Non Clocking” shifts could be made that exceeded the permitted maximum request length. In this version Non Clocking” days areincluded in the max request length checks.
