Self-sufficient security surveillance systems are the perfect tools for tackling crime in remote locations

Tensor Rapid Deployment Asset Protection System helps enforce construction site security

Self-sufficient security surveillance systems capable of delivering extensive 2-way monitoring features while relying on renewable energy sources (wind, solar, etc.) for power are the perfect solutions for tackling crime in remote locations, such as the Dartmoor National Park, where Devon and Cornwall Police and other partner agencies are teaming up to prevent any incidents throughout the summer.

Local officers will be part of a multi-agency operation called Moorwatch, which aims to prevent and disrupt criminals operating in isolated rural areas, particularly at car parks and beauty spots surrounding the national park.

The moor historically sees a seasonal rise in crime in the summer months with an influx of visitors to the region. The operation will see dedicated regular high-visibility patrols tackling a range of rural crimes common to the moorland.

They include thefts from vehicles, livestock theft, the anti-social use of vehicles, wildlife crime, theft of farm equipment and machinery, fly-tipping, plus road safety issues.

Tensor Rapid Deployment Asset Protection System (RDAPS) – the UK’s first and only Secured by Design accredited self-sustained security surveillance system for remote locations

The Tensor Rapid Deployment Asset Protection System (RDAPS) is the UK’s first and only Secured by Design accredited self-sustained security surveillance system designed to prevent crime and gather evidence on any site, including that of a public sporting event.

The RDAPS includes a high-definition camera system of evidential quality and a self-contained high-definition NVR platform with full video analytics capabilities, fully integrated 2-way audio and alarms, capable of delivering extensive remote location, building site and major events security.

Featuring a rugged, weather and vandal-proof design, RDAPS has been designed to protect assets located in vulnerable or remote locations, where current constraints exist due to a lack of power and/or communications. The system is equipped with a Solar/Wind Turbine charged battery system, as well as multiple wireless communication platforms (Wi-Fi, 3G/4G, etc.).

The Tensor Rapid Deployment Asset Protection System is totally transportable and can be re-deployed as frequently as required on multiple sites – in under 40 minutes. Our unique purpose built tower provides a platform which transports the system from site to site and when in ‘deployed-mode’ forms a self-contained secure working platform, functioning as a fully integrated remote video system.
