UK CCTV market to grow by 3.8 percent in 2014, experts forecast

The UK closed-circuit television market grew in value by 3.1% in 2012 and 5.8% in 2013 and is likely to continue its positive trend throughout 2014, a new market research report was able to reveal.

The latest paper from business intelligence provider Key Note reveals that economic recovery had a very important role to play in the segment’s overall growth, as it led to increased business confidence which has been fuelling demand for updated equipment and parts.

Other important factors that contributed to a strong growth in the CCTV segment include strong activity in the construction sector and higher business investment levels.

Last, but certainly not least, one of the main factor that could contribute to future growth is the fact that CCTV in care homes will become much more widespread in the coming years, following radical measures announced by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) to reduce the recurrence of abuse and neglect in British care homes.
