Accurate data and insights into the behaviour and expectations of a company’s workforce will likely represent a very significant asset in the continuous struggle to attract, engage and retain high quality skills and talent, a recent study has been able to suggest.

A recent survey by Capita Employee Solutions – based on interviews with 200 benefits and HR professionals, 500 business leaders and more than 2,000 employees – has further highlighted the increasingly important role that data and insights will play, as organisations focus on benefits and rewards to attract and retain high quality skills.

The role and scale of data and insight in benefits provision is set to accelerate rapidly over the next five years, as the data from the study suggests that 91% of benefits professionals believe that data is important in improving benefits provision within their organisations, and 84% believe that greater insight will give their organisation a competitive edge in benefits and rewards.

Furthermore, 95% of benefits leaders report that having insight into employee absence data and health insurance claims would help employers to offer more targeted and tailored wellness initiatives, as would having data and insight on employee working patterns and behaviours.

However, only 11% of HR and benefits leaders within UK organisations are fully satisfied with their current use of data and insight in supporting benefits provision and only 30% of businesses use data to measure return on investment in their benefits provision.

The Tensor Time and Attendance system will help you take control of shifts, manning levels and working patterns at your organization with the help of our Smart Card based payroll and Time & Attendance systems.

For example, manning levels in our WinTA.NET application are based upon employee skills required during the working week. WinTA.NET is a proactive system that keeps managers abreast of events. It does this by automatically emailing or SMS text messaging both employees and system users on various issues.

A separate module is available for rostering and manpower scheduling. You are pre-warned when applying a shift pattern that will result in a Working Time Regulations infringement.

Furthermore, the Tensor Time and Attendance systems can be integrated with Personnel Software which offers features that will save time and aid strategic planning, especially in emergency situations (strikes, natural disasters, etc.).

A mobile or wireless technology based time and attendance system for employers from Tensor ensures an organization is kept up to date with who is missing at the workplace.
