Biometric Time and Attendance Systems - Save time, save money, eliminate buddy punching

Biometrics is the technique of studying the physical characteristics of a person such as your fingerprint, hand geometry, eye structure or voice pattern.

Biometric methods of identification work by measuring unique human characteristics as a way to provide irrefutable proof of identity, for example, finger or iris scanning or dynamic signature verification.

The main application of biometrics is the identification and verification of individuals. It may be done by a variety of methods, the most popular of which are fingerprinting, iris/retinal scans and facial recognition scans.

Biometric Time and Attendance Systems make sure that employees are only paid for the hours they work, removing any and all opportunity for fraudulent time claims because each employee’s fingerprint is scanned and matched to verify attendance.

2 - Biometric Hand Scanner

The HSCAN Hand Scanner Terminal Series provides the accuracy and convenience of biometric technology and easily integrates with the Tensor Time and Attendance software. It represents a practical and very precise solution for a significant number of usage scenarios, from Coal Mines to Clean Rooms.

Key Features
  • Saves money over card-based systems.
  • Eliminates Badges.
  • Eliminates Buddy Punching.
  • Fast and easy to use.
  • Provides the most accurate time and attendance solution available.

With the HSCAN Hand Scanner Terminal Series, there are no cards to create, administer, carry – or lose, since each unit will identities in less than one second, based on the unique size of their hands.

Enhanced security and accuracy

Because no one can punch in or out for your employees, the Biometric Time and Attendance System reduces time theft and improves payroll accuracy. Furthermore, the costs and risks associated with credentials that can be lost, stolen or duplicated without authorization is also eliminated.

Anti-microbial protection

The Biometric Time and Attendance System contains a silver-based anti-microbial agent-which is embedded into the materials used to produce the platen, providing a finish that inhibits the growth of a broad spectrum of bacteria, mold, and fungi and remains active for the life of the system.

Hand Geometry Biometric Technology

The HSCAN Hand Scanner Terminal Series is built around the concept of hand geometry biometric technology. The terminal captures an image of the hand each time the employee punches. The hand’s size and the shape are used to verify their identity with unparalleled accuracy. No finger or palm prints are utilized. The technology works well indoor as well as in harsh environments.

3 - Biometric Fingerprint Reader

Housed in an elegant case and easy to use, the Tensor T34xx Series Biometric Fingerprint Reader has been designed to meet the requirements of those who want the absolute peace-of-mind, certainty and the assurance that the person to be identified is physically present at the time of identification.

The reader is designed for use as an extra Time & Attendance point or access control point capable of reading Tensor Cards. NCP 109 door release classification is Class III. It is compatible with Tensor’s Proximity Card Access Control Readers, allowing you to mix fingerprint reading and non-fingerprint reading scanners on the same security network.

The fingerprint scanning window is a thick, heavy duty glass that resists scratches and other stress to ensure long term usage. Once registered on the fingerprint scanner, the image of the patterns usually found on one's fingertips is converted into a code through a secure algorithm, which is then stored on a database for future comparison and authentication.

Whenever registered users have their fingerprints scanned, a comparison is made between the live fingerprint and the stored fingerprint template and if the two match, the event is saved in Time and Attendance controller database.
