ADSI uses Tensor Biometric Access Control to secure its site access

The company was established back in 2002 and its initial philosophy was to provide the best advice available on tariffs and provide a management structure for mobile phone users in SME's. In 2011, ADSI Manager David Robinson was looking to replace the entry system at ADSI's Basildon HQ with a fingerprint-based access control system. He was also wanted to implement a similar solution for all their internal doors.

Following a comprehensive review of the competing systems available on the market with the aim of finding a system that would perfectly meet their security requirements, David came across the Tensor Biometric Access Control system and was impressed with the superior functionality and value-for-money it delivered.

The specification of the Tensor access control system meet and exceeded ADSI's requirements. It includes multiple Biometric Access Control Readers, the latest generation of Tensor's Proximity or Contactless Smart Card electronics combined with a biometric fingerprint reader.

The Tensor Biometric Access Control system was installed at ADSI in mid-2012 and the setup and commissioning process went very smoothly, apart from a few minor issues that were quickly and effectively sorted out by the Tensor engineering team.

Billy Allen, IT Support Executive, told the Tensor reporter that they "used the Tensor biometric system to its full potential for site access control". When asked to comment on the system's day-to-day operation, Billy immediately exclaimed "It's very easy to use!".

The Access Control System installed at ADSI uses Tensor's "World Class", web enabled, integrated Security Management System called WinAC.NET. With this and our secure & reliable biometric readers, you can control most types of internal and external electronic, magnetic door releases and devices. WinAC.NET makes full use of location points, whether in full view or hidden out of sight, providing access even in the most adverse conditions.

ADSI's experience of using the Tensor Help Desk and post installation support is excellent. "Absolutely perfect" is how Billy describes the after-sales service supplied by Tensor.

When asked whether he would recommend Tensor to other companies, Mr. Allen's answer was a very enthusiastic "Yes".
