Vinyl Wholesalers Singing & Dancing with Tensor Access Control and Time & Attendance

Little Amber Fish is a global wholesale distributor of a range of media products, including Vinyl Records, CD's and DVD's. Then, to better manage their staff on site, they decided to install an Access Control System and a Time and Attendance System.

Hamit Mehmet, the Financial Controller at Little Amber Fish, told the Tensor reporter that his aims and objectives in installing Tensor's Access Control and Time and Attendance were to "Ensure everybody came in through one door, as we had employees going in through the warehouse shutter doors or going in through the front door and leaving it open. With the old attendance system, employees were meant to sign a paper timesheet to show they were present which didn't always happen or people forgot". He added, "With Tensor, our objectives have been hit fully".

When asked why Mr. Mehmet chose Tensor over competitors, he said, "Tensor was one of two companies I contacted, and Tensor got back to me straight away and wanted to arrange a site visit as soon as possible; whereas the other company just gave me a generic answer. He added, "Tensor was also cheaper, but that wasn't an overriding factor in our decision".

Mr. Mehmet received training on how to use the Tensor systems, and described the quality of training as "Very good!". He went on to say, "We had a half-day training session and the Tensor trainer has left it as an open book so I can go to him if I require any further assistance".

When asked if Mr. Mehmet has ever had to use the Tensor Helpdesk, he replied, "I haven't had to use the Tensor Helpdesk to date. From the outset the Tensor System is very detailed and very, very good. It's a one size fits all system, and we probably only use it for 15% of what it is capable of".

Is Little Amber Fish considering extending its Tensor Systems? "At the moment it fulfils all of our requirements". Mr. Mehmet added, "We do own a property around the corner from us and with how the business has expanded over the last 5 years, it wouldn't be unrealistic to require another site and extend the system, and we have that capability with Tensor".

Mr. Mehmet said, "The simplicity" is what he likes most about the Tensor Access Control and Time and Attendance Systems. He included, "The system is easy-to-use, the installation went well and the software is very user friendly. It's also helpful when staff want to leave early and tell me they want to make the time up another day because I can easily monitor that".

When asked if he would recommend Tensor to other companies looking to install Access Control and/or Time and Attendance, Mr. Mehmet replied, "I would, yes!".

Summing Tensor up in a few words, Mr. Mehmet said, "Cooperative, professional, and extremely helpful".
