Facial Recognition CCTV and ANPR Systems Protect Historic Bridge
Facial Recognition CCTV Systems, complete with ANPR functionality, are the perfect solution for enforcing security in remote locations with constant vehicle traffic, such as the Grade II listed Holne New Bridge, near Ashburton.
The 604-year-old moorland bridge has been hit and damaged 67 times since 1999. Damage has included coping stones of up to 200 kg being knocked into the River Dart below. For this reason, the Devon County Council’s Bridges team has installed advanced CCTV cameras that will help protect the historic crossing and save money by recovering the cost of repairs from careless motorists.
The new CCTV system has the latest in number plate and facial recognition technology. The real time feed will be monitored by the Bridge Maintenance team through their personal computers and smart phones.
The bridge will now be monitored 24-hours-day, seven days a week.
TENSOR – DELIVERING EXTENSIVE EXPERTISE IN DEPLOYING FACIAL RECOGNITION CCTV AND ANPR SYSTEMS
Tensor has an extensive experience in installing facial recognition CCTV systems and commissioning comprehensive video management solutions for large multi-site facilities. Our expertise and technical know-how enables us to easily integrate video surveillance into other security systems including ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition), Access Control and Facial Recognition CCTV to name a few, in order to enhance and improve the security and efficiency at your site.
Tensor face biometrics are used to identify users from access control lists and verify their identity. Our access control solution facilitates user management at runtime and allows users to be enrolled on-the-fly by video capture.
Facial recognition CCTV technology yields excellent performance despite partial occlusions of the face, the use of glasses, scarves or caps, changes of facial expression, and moderate rotations of the face. Moreover, it does not allow users to be impersonated using photographs. Tensor biometric technology is the perfect solution to control the access of personnel to restricted security areas.
Tensor plc’s services cover consultancy, concept, design, procurement, manufacturing, installation, maintenance, training and monitoring.
