Producing management reports is easy with WinTA software

The country faced deep-rooted problems with its fragile economy, “massive” deficit and “dysfunctional” banking system, said Cabinet minister Vince Cable. In a London speech (his first since the coalition formed) the Business Secretary vowed to slash red tape, force banks to lend more to good businesses, and make it easier for universities and inventors to make their products commercial successes. Rather than “waving a chequebook” at firms, Mr Cable instead stressed that boosting skills and certain kinds of science or research were key to Britain’s future prosperity. Tensor is also a key factor in your company’s prosperity with its money-saving and efficiency-promoting Time and Attendance smart card and biometric time and attendance systems. For large and small offices or factories, your time and attendance system will accurately and reliably record your staff's clocking data, and can be effortlessly integrated with your preferred payroll software package. Designing your own reports is easy with the versatile WinTA software. Using a "drag and drop" interface, reports are quickly defined and you will find this feature a powerful management aid.

Blue smart card ideal for where shop floor hygiene is paramount

Spanish power company Iberdrola has declared that it will invest about £2.7 billion in Scottish businesses over the next two years. Iberdrola expects the legal profession and construction firms to be among those to benefit from increased spend. The giant, which owns Scottish Power, has more than 1,800 suppliers in Scotland, including Scottish Coal. Scottish First Minister Alex Salmond has welcomed this announcement. Mr Salmond discussed Iberdrola's plans for investment in Scotland during a visit to Bilbao to further strengthen economic links with the Basque country. If your firm is planning to expand, Tensor time and attendance technology can facilitate the process with our simply-integrated clocking regime. Smart card technology reads through non-metallic items, enabling the card to be used while inside a wallet or purse without harming credit cards. Cards use clever and proven Radio Frequency (RF) technology to accomplish this. The durable plastic wipe clean cards are available in white or blue. The blue card is specifically designed for high visibility use where shop-floor hygiene is of great importance.

T32xx gives total control over working patterns rules and regulations

Union delegates at the TUC's annual gathering backed a motion which urged an alliance of unions and communities under threat at its congress. The approval of industrial action if more cuts go ahead mirror their fears about the breadth of the coalition's spending reductions. TUC chief Brendan Barber said he favoured "a broad-based campaign… to look to harness public opinion behind the case for a different approach to managing our economy." He spoke against a purely critical campaign, asking unions to promote an "alternative to austerity that encourages growth and jobs". For all your clocking and payroll needs in order to grow rather than cut back your business, the Tensor T32xx is simply the best of its kind. It is an all-in-one, affordable, IP enabled, smart card Time & Attendance recording and security Access Control workstation. Its features that give you irrefutable control over time and attendance, working patterns rules, and all Working Time regulations. Tensor turnstiles offer maximum security and fast throughput

Although acquitted of money laundering charges, a pensioner who hid £500,000 behind a toilet had the money taken away by the authorities. In September 2009, Peter Wells stood trial at Maidstone Crown Court, where it was revealed he had drugs supply convictions. During the trial Wells said some of the money was from a scaffold-hire business he ran, and that more than £200,000 belonged to a rich City trader whom he would not identify. Despite the acquittal, Kent Police's serious economic crime unit conducted additional inquiries which led to the money being confiscated. Tensor’s biometric and smart card access control systems include a number of turnstiles that will suit your building or business depending on aesthetics or function. A Tensor Access System gives you full control over who is allowed access through any controlled point at any time of any day, placing it at the forefront of security solutions. All our full-warranty turnstiles enable the quickest throughput available. Full height turnstiles offer a maximum security, while glass turnstiles will suit the high-end business reception environment.

Clocking software identifies jobs which go over budget

Staff will be asked if they want voluntary severance at Dumfries and Galloway Council, which has agreed a redundancy scheme. The council has introduced this scheme in attempting to reach a savings target of £50 million over the next three years. Council leader Ivor Hyslop said that "tough times" required "tough choices". He added: "Our council cares for people from birth to death and provides critical services that mean our children are better educated and fewer people suffer poverty and deprivation." Your organisation’s staff and payroll will be served better by using a Tensor time and attendance clocking recording system to increase productivity and eliminate wasteful practices. There are two type of clocking stations, the new smaller T32xx or the proven T25XX range which is ideal for factories or offices. With the software you have an at-a-glance summary of time and attendance details, showing individuals or groups of employees. An Exception view quickly identifies areas where the normal working pattern has not been followed, while you can quickly identify any jobs which go over budget.

CCTV cameras have true day or night filters for top quality images

Recent plans to eradicate a big chunk of the national debt have caused widespread budget restructuring. For example Hampshire Constabulary are letting more than a thousand police jobs go, while plans for a new headquarters were put on hold amid the government cuts. John Denham, MP for Southampton Itchen, said: "Even local Tories admit that crime in Southampton had fallen dramatically under Labour. I can't help wondering how they feel about their superiors in Westminster recklessly cutting budgets, and putting families across the city at an increased risk." These fears that crime is threatening to go up need not affect your business, as Tensor installs a range of security devices. Our affiliate company CCTV Surveillance Ltd knows how to create an evidence quality CCTV security solution for your firm by uniquely customising your CCTV installation. By using products from the top manufacturers within CCTV, you can be assured that your CCTV system will operate through the harshest of conditions, ensuring safety and security. We can supply dome cameras that have true day/night filters for high-visibility black and white images at night time.

Tensor software generates report if fire breaks out

A fire which is believed to have begun accidentally ravaged Merthyr Tydfil Football Club’s changing room. The blaze damaged the building – which was empty – used by the stalwart Wales side, which had to move out of the British Gas Southern League after HM Revenue and Customs had issued a winding up order against the club, which had debts of about £315,000. Three local fire crews were called to the ground on Sunday morning and the fire was contained to the two-storey room. The club has had electricity to its ground cut over unpaid bills. From the most basic ‘on site’ reporting, to the individual tracking of employees’ movement between fire zone/fire assembly points, Tensor's Fire Roll Call can be tailored to meet your safety requirements. Tensor's security products can be integrated with fire roll call software that will automatically generate a report in the event of a fire or other emergency. In such a situation, your immediate fire roll call reports are generated containing the crucial information concerning who is on site.

CCTV plus barriers equals complete security system

Relatives have called for CCTV and other increased security after a spate of thefts at a Peterborough cemetery. David Adams, the city council’s bereavement team manager, said: “We are advising families not to leave items that can be easily removed or stolen. Eastfield Cemetery is a large area which is used as a cut through by residents, as well as family and friends of those buried there.” He added: “Stealing from graves is despicable and disrespectful and we will continue to do all we can to support the police in catching those responsible.” CCTV is among the many security devices offered by Tensor and our fellow companies. It can be added to our access control systems to produce a complete security network which will identify and deny access to intruders and possible thieves. Our smart card systems can power your entrance gates, shutters, door releases and barriers. Unlike many other companies who provide similar systems, we support all of our CCTV surveillance products in-house, so you can get instant feedback and action to your support requirement.

Time and attendance software creates powerful management tool

A new marine project is hoped to initiate a jobs boom in the sector, centred around Bangor University. An innovation centre will be set up at Menai Bridge, Anglesey, providing support facilities for Welsh companies. "It's about generating new jobs and new businesses and encouraging existing businesses to grow,” said the project manager Dr Gay Mitchelson-Jacob. "Existing business might grow in terms of their turnover or they might be able to take on new people.” She added: "There are a whole series of goals. There's a large part which is about the research and development side – universities working in collaboration with businesses." Perhaps your business sector is experiencing a boom. Rapid expansion will be aided by Tensor time and attendance technology since it simplifies your payroll. Access control network sensor monitoring detects forced entry

The number of Scottish people who re-offended within two years of a conviction has reached its highest level in a decade, state the most recent figures. The Scottish Parliament recently passed proposals which will phase out jail sentences of three months or less in favour of tougher community sentences. According to the figures, 42.5% of those who were given community service orders re-offended within two years. Among those handed probation by the courts, 57.8% re-offended. However, 61.6% of people jailed committed further offences within two years. Protect your premises from the likelihood of criminal acts with a Tensor Access Control network. Your clocking station network (of one or more clocks) will deter and detect forced or unauthorised entry, and is connected to a main server PC either via the PC's standard serial port or an ethernet network adapter. Access Control Profiles are easily created or customised to suit your particular site, and can be varied minute-by-minute. Among the other features are: an audit trail showing who gained access (or was denied) at any location at any time; plus sensor monitoring to detect forced entry.

Connect a variety of access equipment to T8424 scanner control unit

The Police Federation has warned that the fight against crime will undoubtedly suffer following the drastic autumn spending reductions. The body, which speaks for front-line police, said about 40,000 jobs are in jeopardy and that crime rates (which have been trimmed in the past year) will go in the opposite direction. The Federation’s warning came after some constabularies said they already plan to axe substantial proportions of their workforces – 20 per cent in some cases. This is in line with the expected 25% cut to the police budget in England and Wales. Stepping up security is easy with Tensor Access Lite software and Tensor's T149x scanners, where you can control most standard types of internal and external electronic, magnetic door releases and devices. Your site can make full use of location points, whether in full view or hidden out of sight, providing access even in the most adverse conditions. A variety of access equipment, devices and releases can be connected via the T8424 scanner control unit including: alarms and hooters, break glass buttons and door release buttons.

Tensor fire roll call for maximum employee safety

Thirty firefighters were needed over the course of a night to tackle a fierce blaze at the Linamar car parts factory. The depot, in Swansea, initially attracted four pumping appliances, a foam tender, a turntable ladder and an environmental unit before more fire crews joined the operation. The blaze started in the workshop area, and spread to parts of the plant and the control room. Their prompt action, including protecting highly flammable materials, meant all factory workers on site were uninjured. First class Access Control and security systems from Tensor have fire roll call built into the design of the wireless enabled smart card and biometric clocking and access control equipment. Instantaneous report generation of highly accurate attendance reports of who is on site makes this fire roll call software the best in the industry, and a must-have addition for any safety-conscious employer. At the fire roll call point, staff use their smart cards to record their presence; or they can be checked off using the generated reports. Current customers can upgrade without having to change their T32xx or T25xx clocking stations.
