Furniture supplier buys Tensor
Spaceworks has grown from it’s inception in 1990 to become one of the largest event furniture suppliers in Europe. Their head office is based in Godstone to the south of London and comprises of large storage warehouses and offices. They employ around 50 people which expands to over 150 during the busy summer months with the addition of agency staff.

Tensor Gets Fit
York Barbell is one of the worlds leading brands of fitness equipment, designing and manufacturing products in Canada, the UK, USA and the Far East. Their equipment is distributed to 40 countries around the world. In January 2000 Operations Manager, Nelson Oliver, was in search of a computerised Time & Attendance system which included a good Absence Planning system and Access Control facility for the factory itself and the area where personnel records were kept.
Tensor on Target
Target Precision is an ISO9002 approved manufacturer of precision turned components. Their customers range from aerospace to automotive, and defence to electronics, medical and telecommunications. In spring 2003, Managing Director, Gary Plummer, was looking for a computerised Time and Attendance system to replace the manual timesheets, speed up administration and give better record keeping of the comings and goings of staff.
Tensor sees the light
Coherent Optics Europe is a leading manufacturer of precision optical components with particular expertise in infra-red optics. The company first thought about installing a system to formalise their HR procedures, Health and Safety, Flexible Working and Access Control on numerous doors in May 2003.
Tour Operator takes the Tensor package
Libra Holidays is a Tour Operator for Package Holidays to the Western Mediterranean and pride themselves in providing peace of mind for their customers backed by the financial protection administered by the Civil Aviation Authority and ABTA approval. They employ around 100 people at their offices in New Barnet, Hertforshre. In mid 2004 Managing Director, Matthew Wallace, wanted to replace his manual system of recording staff hours and at the same time provide an HR database for the company.
South Bucks District Council install Tensor
South Bucks District Council employ 200 staff of which the majority are based at their new offices in Capswood, Denham. The Council first thought of installing an integrated Time & Attendance and Access Control system in 2003 when the decision was made to move from their previous premises in Slough. They looked at a total of 4 companies when considering the system that best suited the needs of the Council. The Project Leader was Alan Munro.
Healthcare Packaging go for Tensor
Field Boxmore Healthcare Packaging, part of the Chesapeake group, manufacturer of a wide range of printed leaflets mainly for pharmaceutical and healthcare industry. Their Works Manager, Mark Wilson, joined the company just over a year ago, and on his arrival he discovered they were still using an old fashioned ‘clunk-clunk’ clocking machine for the 120 staff. Mark wanted to improve the situation. He had previously used a Tensor Smart Card Time & Attendance in his previous employment and wanted to investigate the possibility of such a system for Field Boxmore.
